One Thing Holding You Back? Focus for Success!

  1. In Korea, are the employers required to provide the national health care or are they just required to help out with a form of some type of health care? Our employer is beating around the bush about the national health care for me and it seems kind of shady. What are your thoughts? They did get us travelers' insurance, but I wonder if they are breaking the law.

  2. Crystal- I worked for a small hagwon last year and they did not provide national health care because the business was so small. I'm no expert on Korean labor law, but I believe the employer's obligation to provide health care has quite a bit to do with the number of employees.

Also Crystal, I don't know anything about travelers insurance in lieu of national health care- never heard of that! Hope that helps Crystal.
